She worked for 13 years as a Child Protection Specialist at the Danish Refugee Council, an international organization operating under the administration of the European Union. In this role, She was responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive child protection programs aimed at safeguarding vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement . Her duties included conducting thorough assessments to identify risks and protection needs of children in affected communities, developing and managing child protection interventions tailored to local contexts, and coordinating with local authorities, NGOs, and community stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and referral pathways. She also provided psychosocial support and counseling services to children and families, organized and facilitated training sessions and capacity-building workshops for caregivers, and community members on child protection principles and best practices.
